Of late, the sector has grappled with new challenges which have arisen out of rapid growth of the sector. Some of these challenges will be overcome relatively quickly; some will require all the resourcefulness and intellect to convert them into promising opportunities for future. Growth in power sector is one of the most important requirements for sustained growth of a developing economy like India.
